Review:

Last night I attended the very first Desert Rose Band reunion show. I'll be going to the 2nd one tonight. For those that are unfamiliar with DRB, here's the webpage http://www.chrishillman.com/desertroseband/index.htm

What a great show. Their harmonies are top notch. They sounded every bit as good as they did back in day. If any of you are a little flush, or have a free flight, I recommend heading to CA in Oct. They're playing an additional as yet to be announced show at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz on 10/3. That happens to be the night before their appearance at the free Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park the next day. It actually starts on the 3rd, but it's a low key day. They call it Hardly Strictly because they've had tons of non-Bluegrass people like Willie Nelson. This year they have Alison Kraus & Robert Plant. Here's that data http://www.strictly bluegrass. com/

If anyone is interested, let me know. I'll help with lodging and transportation as much as possible.

For those in the LA area, there may be tickets available for the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano this evening.
